Xiaomi has released a list of Xiaomi devices to receive new Android Nougat update. This new update of Android Nougat will be added to the MIUI 9 for Xiaomi devices. According to the officials, Xiaomi has released this update for total 14 different devices.
The list also mentions the devices that will get an upgrade to Android 7.1 or 7.1.1. As per the list, the devices on this list are the Mi 6, Mi Max 2, Mi 5C and Redmi 4X. Apart from this, Mi Note Pro, Mi 5, Mi 5s, Mi 5s Plus, Redmi 4X and Redmi Note 4X are also going to receive this Nougat update in the coming time.
We have been seeing that, Xiaomi releases regular updates to the MIUI, however it takes a long time to upgrade a complete Android OS to the devices. Well, the time has come and now you can upgrade your existing Xiaomi device to the latest Android Nougat update based on MIUI 9.
If you carry one of these devices, you will soon receive a Nougat update to your respective device. If your current device is no listed in the above list, you should get the update of MIUI 9 and you can have access to a number of features from Android 7.0 Nougat Operating System.
The update will come via OTA and you will receive a push notification on the display of your phone. Once you get the notification, just follow the instructions and you will be able to download the latest Android Nougat update. Soon, the device will be updated with the latest Android Nougat OS. Apart from this, you can even check for the latest updates manually as well. Just go to the Settings option and scroll down to About phone option. Check for the update from there.
